Re: Must hit Refresh for the menu to display
I just had an idea. I'll bet that the "refresh required over a slow connection" problem has something to do with the order or speed in which the frames load. Think about it, in a frameset menu, there are actually 2 menus that interact with each other. The "Main" menu might need t...

Re: Must hit Refresh for the menu to display
Frank,
Good eye! You are correct, the submenus should disappear. It is probably a frameset related problem and Andy is working on the solution even now.
Thanks for the feedback!
Cheers,
Gary

Re: Must hit Refresh for the menu to display
Andy, Thanks for taking a look. I normally use IE5.0. I think the important thing to note is that the problem happens mostly over slower connections. My connection is 1/2 ISDN (which is 64K) and it often happens on the first load. By "first load" I mean, coming back to the site after visit...

Re: Frames_Top_Offset=
Andy, For your reference, the amount of offset that I had to use for the menus to align turned out to be exactly the pixel width of my left navigation frame. My guess is that the required offset will always be the same as the pixel width of the frame that "shifts" the frame where the subme...

Must hit Refresh for the menu to display
mmneu.js version 3.3.19
At http://dtccom.net/~garysmit/thebytefactory_6/ I must often Refresh the page after the first load for the menu to display. Does anyone have a solution for this?
Cheers,
Gary

Frames_Top_Offset=
Andy,
I am about to try 3.4 Beta on a framed site. Do we still need the "Frames_Top_Offset=xxx" setting or is that now being detected in mmenu.js automatically. It would be obvious but the comment in version 3.3.19 was "// This is for odd frames behaiour until I can fix it."

Re: Highlight not removing on frame
Interesting, I have now upgraded to menu version 3.3.19 and this issue is still happening to me. Is it fixed for everyone else? I do admit that the "Frame Demo Page" does not have this particular problem anymore but then again the "Home" link causes a crash. To see the crash, cli...

Re: Submenu selection switches in the middle
To the author who goes by the name "A" who responded to my original post. I figured out the problem. It's the drop-shadow effect. The tip of the index finger will be in error by the same strength as your shadow effect. Set your shadow strength to 30 and then have a look. It's really bad. F...
