Hi, Just spotted this one and didn't see the question before, sorry about that. If it has been done, please let me know how...if not, can we consider it? Yes, certaintly, that's not a problem. Milonic fully support Open Source software. Any problems just ask Cheers, Andy Andy, Are you aware of any ...

Just wanted to post my agreement with the author of this thread that DotNetNuke really rocks for creating websites in no time flat -- with full functionality. A truly fantasic tool. BTW, they just came out with a new version 4.0, which is written for ASP 2.0. Sorry I can't offer any insight into cha...

Hi Ruth, Thanks for the reply. The transition called "slide" is not really a slide at all. It is really just like a wiping effect, which reveals the box starting at the top and "wiping" down to the bottom. There is no "sliding" of the box at all, which makes me wonder w...

Just checking in to see if anyone had ideas on this. I'd like to implement the effect I described, if anyone knows how to do it. If it can't be done, it's no big deal, but if it can I'm all ears.

I tried slide and it didn't work. It was more of a "wipe" than a "slide". Still looking for answers, if anyone knows.

Sorry I don't have time right now to look at the URL you posted, but check this page for info on the MS filters the menu uses. Possibly what you are looking for is there. Note these will only work with IE. Thanks John. There seems to be one transition filter that may work, but it also seems to be t...

Can the Milonic menu do this?

I looked through the samples, but I was unable to locate a demo on the Milonic site that imitates a menu on the following web site. To get there, first go to the following URL: http://www.smartertools.com/Products/SmarterMail/Demo.aspx Then, click the option for Log in to demo with automated login ....

Hmmm... after looking at the code a little closer I don't think the dynamic menus will work after all, because it is outputting script elements, so it will only convert menus when the page is loaded.

No biggie .... just excited about the new capabilities!

Andy, I've just thought of a really interesting use for the list-based menus, now that you have provided ID-based conversion of lists. I haven't tried it yet, but this should provide a very nice way to do dynamic popup menus (built on the fly at runtime). Through JavaScript DOM manipulation, one cou...

Yes, as long as you create your lists and give the parent <UL> an id, anything inside that list will become a menu. Other lists within your HTML will be ignored by the system and should be treated as an HTML list and not appear in the menu. Let me know if you have any trouble with this Thanks very ...

Hi, I'm on my own at the moment as the other guys are all busy. I'm now trying to be Superman by doing the official tech support, develop the menu, run the business and do the Forum stuff so no surprise that new development has slowed down a little. Anyway, we've had this for some time now, http://...

Still looking for better list-based menu support

Way back in June of this year, Kevin had mentioned that list-based menus were a top priority for Milonic, due to the vastly increased search engine visibility afforded by list-base menus. (Not to mention that menus, by and large in the industry, are being implemented using list-based elements, due t...

I have previously "discussed" the topic with Andy, and made numerous suggestions. Since I no longer have access to support, I thought posting a message here would be the best way to communicate.

I will definitely "re-up" when this capability becomes more robust!

Bumping

I'm bumping this topic because it's a shame that list-based menus have not gotten priority from Milonic. I know everyone is different, and renewing a license is a personal decision based upon the value perceived by the buyer. For me, I'll renew my license once the list-based menus receive an update,...

Thanks Ruth, it's really awesome that you go to such great lengths to be friendly and helpful! I figured there must be a way to position the elements, along with the JavaScript statements, in such a way as to make one list (and only one) a menu. Your tests have successfully confirmed that suspicion ...

By the way, if this list-based thing receives some good attention in the next release of the menu, it could allow developers to totally solve any search engine difficulties described here: http://www.milonic.com/searchengines_milonic.php That's because the search engines would easily see and crawl t...

I don't have a hard time visualizing it, because I'd like to do the same thing. Basically, the list-based example turns every list on the page into a menu (at least it worked that way the last time I checked). I (and I assume the original author) would like that specify that the < ul> tag with an id...
