"popup()" stopped working in most browsers

I have put up a short movie that demonstrates the problem. Click Here I'm using "popup()" inside a form text field like this.. <form name="form1" action="/pages/searchResults.lasso"> <a href="#" onclick="document.form1.submit(); return true;"> <img s...

I tried using u and b tags within a code tag, it didn't work. I will leave out the line numbers though. To clarify.. Are you saying the menu should open lower? When I try the right links putting the browser the way you directed, the page automatically scrolls back to the top and the menu opens right...

Menu acts "Fixed" in certain browsers

All the following Mac browsers: Netscape 7.2, Explorer 5.2.3, and Firefox 1.0 have the following problem. Goto http://fbcity.securesitehosts.com and scall the window for each browser small enough so that the window's vertical scroll bar appears with at least an inch of throw. THEN (not before), clic...

The great thing though, is that without Milonic Menus all this would have taken a lot of custom lasso (or whatever) code to accomplish - too much work, really; but now it can be done - ubiquitously in fact.

Thank you.

I figured it out, and the answer to at least half of my request is actually quite simple. But first, your question.. Ruth's suggestion should at least test whether the pagematch feature will actually match such a url Not using pagematch, no, ..not when onLoad="popup('TopDepartments');" is ...

Thanks Ruth. I might try that; but the more I look into it the more it looks like my idea is beyond the scope of the Milonic Menu system at its current level of development. Milonic is such a wonderful thing that I just figured there would be a way, if only I could clarify my needs properly. Perhaps...

What you're saying is I'm sure true, although I did try it as you sugested and I could not get it to work; but it's not what I want to do anyway - perhaps I haven't stated my goal effectevly.. I'm not really sure about all the .lasso? No matter, it has absolutly nothing to do with the problem. The only reason I even mentioned it was to paint a complete picture for you. but have you tried setting the pagematch to pagematch=/pages/departments/ That made no difference. I would be surprized ...

Just for a bit of clarification.. I created the <body onLoad="popup('TopDepartments');" part because I want to be able to click a link (in the page-right side) menu - which is not a milonic menu, by the way - to load the page as if it were obtained by traversing a milonic menu. In other wo...

I also tried it with an exact matching url string.. // Sub to "Main Menue" are the five main departments with(milonic=new menuname("TopDepartments")){ style=TopSubOneMainMenuStyle; top=92; screenposition="left"; left="offset=10"; orientation="horizontal&q...

Pagematch not working

I am using Lasso as the scripting language in my project. Before the page is parsed by the browser, the server-side lasso parser assigns a variable that is used to insert the following (in bold) js function call into the body tag.. <body onLoad="popup('TopDepartments');" background="/...

That did it, yeah! Although I don't know why this problem reared its ugly head to begin with. But who cares. Thank you. On another note, I made another posting here and was wondering if you had any thoughts regarding same. So far, I have been able to get it to open the first level using: <a href=&qu...

Why background color?

Ruth, I'm a bit confused here. What does any kind of background color have to do with this problem? The problem, as I see it, is that (on the Mac browsers I have looked on) the one and only menu element's font color changes to the browser's default VISITED color whenevr any of the elements on the sa...

Problem with rollovers

You can see in this animated image that when I roll over the Main_Menu one of the elements ("Departments") takes on what looks like an on/offcolor. http://fbcity.securesitehosts.com/images/rolloverProb.gif I cannot find any reason why this would have suddenly appeared. The only change that...
