5_732, 5_733 bug with first submenu in IE
I have to use 5_731 version, because latest version in IE6 (in Opera works fine) the first child of menu is not expanded on a first try - user have to move to second or next subitem and then can be first child expanded on mouseover.
Will be this problem solved in final 5_733 ? Thanks

We need to see your page to check this. If you can't post that, please check the Milonic main site and see if the problem occurs on that browser for you, if it doesn't and you can't post a link to the page causing the problem, we would need the html code, the menu data file and any style sheets you are using.

There is a problem - the Milonic main site menu doesnt contain any item, which has submenu on some first item, because the bug is not possible to demonstrate.
HTML code, data file and stylesheets:
http://t-mobile.cz/Web/Business/Zpravy/Default.aspx
http://t-mobile.cz/Web/ClientFunction.P ... egmentID=8
http://t-mobile.cz/SystemSupport/StyleS ... esktop.css
http://t-mobile.cz/SystemSupport/StyleS ... tPrint.css
This site still use 5_731 version.

Problem persist in 5_733 final
Problem persist in 5_733 final:
If you expand some level of menu (mouseover) and first item has a submenu, it will not be expanded on first time you move over - item will be expanded after you move over other items of menu and return to the first item.

Hello;
I have the exact same problem with the latest release (5.734) and I need to get this fixed urgently.
Please see the example:
http://www.richardrosenman.com/beta/index.htm
I have already submitted this to registered support but have not yet received a response.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
-Richard

Hi Ruth;
I'm using IE v6.0.2800.1106IC on Win 2000. This is what is happening exactly:
1. When you drag the mouse over Gallery, the sub-menu drops down.
2. Then if you move the mouse down to the FIRST submenu in the dropdown, it will NOT open it's sub-menu on the right side, even though it has one.
3. If you continue to move the mouse down to the SECOND sub-menu under 'Gallery', it's sub-menu on the right side will work as it should, then if you move the mouse back up to the first sub-menu, it will now work.
4. If you get out of the 'Gallery' menu altogether and try again, same bug will occur. This will also happen with the first sub-menu under the 'Software' section, etc.
I tried it at work today, also using Win 2K and same bug. I didn't check what version of IE I had at work, but it was IE. Since most people are using IE, and most probably v6, I would like to try and figure this one out.
I appreciate your help, by the way.

By the way, here is another thread describing the exact same problem as well but the solution offered did not fix it:
viewtopic. ... st+submenu
Seems like a lot of other people are having this same problem.
Any other ideas?

Hi,
Try downloading the 5.735 pre-release version and see if that helps the issue. This one has some fixes for frames based menus. Go to the main site, then on the menu under DHTML Menu go down to Menu Version Information, about 3/4 of the way down. When you go to that page, you should see the 6.734 at the top and then in red below it a pre-release for 5.735.
Make sure you back up your existing 5.734 version someplace.
As for the other thing I mentioned about wmode="transparent' you should put that in the flash object because there are some browsers that will not allow the menu to go over the flash without it. Also, Opera seems to be a browser in which flash is always on top, something in their programming and how they have it set for flash objects.

Hi,
Here is some info on using the wmode transparent with the flash. What it does is allow things like dhtml layers to show through the flash.
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14201.html --How to create a flash movie with transparent background.
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15523.html --Flash and dhtml layers, fixing always on top issue
There was also something I read someplace about using a combination of wmode="transparent" and opaque. One in the embed tag and one in the param. Sorry I can't find it, and don't remember which went where or what the circumstances were for doing that. You might experiment.
