On bgimage swapping and...

Post by iBringSolutions »

Hi,

I designed a background image for a sub menu I'm working on at: http://www.xsprotemplates.com/bulkupfast/

Hovering over the articles link will show you what I've done so far.

Here's 2 things I've been wondering how to do.

1. How can I move the submenu down a couple of pixles? I'd like to be able to push the first bgimage down lower so that it's not overlapping on the horizontal menu.

...and 2. What's the simplest way to swap a bgimage with another bgimage?

Many thanks people!

Hi,

I'm getting a 404 error when I visit the link. Did you manage to fix things?

Hi,

You would use the subOffset to set the submenu down farther, however, since we cannot see the page we cannot actually see what kind of menu you are using. If it's horizontal then you have to do it differently, if vertical then you'd do it with subOffset and if you want different offsets then there is another way you can do it. As to the bg images well, you have things like offbgimage and onbgimage so if you want it to change when you mouse over you'd set both, the offbgimage would be one image and the onbgimage would be another.

I need a page to be more specific on what to do. Also, you might take a look at the properties section which explains the various things you can do with the menu. So, you have properties that you would put in the style section which would apply to any menu using that style, there are properties for the menu section, like the alwaysvisible=1 stuff and that would apply only to that menu, and you have properties you can add to the item section where they would only apply to the particular item in which they appear. So, let's say you have the offcolor set to black for the submenus, but then you want one item to be aqua. You could go to the item and put in offcolor=aqua; in the aI string and that will make that item that text color. There are links to those things below my name. You can also find them on the main site under DHTML Menu, then down to Menu Quick Reference Guides
