Crossframe menu problem

Post by eric@hjersing.se »

Hi,
I have a professional licens.
I have a site with 3 frames, side, header and main.
Menus are in side and header frame, with submenus opening in the main frame.
A click on a button in the header menu, either opens the side menu or opens a new page in the main frame.
A click on the side menu opens a page in the main frame.
It works fine when opening the side menu but when target is set for the main frame, then the header or side menu will not work anymore.
The buttons in the header and side menu that have submenus will not work. The buttons without submenus works OK.
How to solve this?
The idea I have is that the visitor should never have to hit the backbutton. He/she should always be able to navigate the whole site just from the header and side menu.

Thanks

Hi Eric,

Sounds like it could be a naming conflict, are all the frames names unique?

Do you have a URL that we can see?

Hi Andy,

I do not have it in outer space yet.
But I´ll try and see if I can get it uploaded tonight.

But since I do not intend it for the public until it´s finished (not nice to get to a site that says "under construction") could we do like this:
if you can send me an e-mail ( eric@hjersing.se ) to which I can reply to you, I will give YOU a password to enter my site.

Kind regards
Eric
