Stupid question about licences...

I apologize, because I know that this is going to be a stupid question, but I want to be certain about this. Is the $35 licence only good for a year? And would we have to pay another $35 once that year is up? Thank you for your response.

The license for the menu is perpetual.

Support and upgrades, with the current license, will expire after 1 year.
