RC15 & NS7.1

Post by John »

Andy, still have the same problem with the page at http://www.west.asu.edu/sa/testsite/sl1.htm. Open the sub without scrolling the page and it's pretty close to where it should be.

Scroll the page a bit so the main menu comes off its home position, and open the sub again. Now it pops up at the bottom of the window, with part of it off-screen (no scroll bar). Don't even ask about 4.79...

All is well in IE6 regardless of the main menu position, and the scroll bar is there when I squeeze up the window.

OK, I have now posted Version 5.0 Release Candidate 15.0 Built: Monday October 6 2003 - 18:16. Things are slightly different.

Pop the sub with the main menu at home position and all is well.

Scroll to the bottom of the page, shorten up the window, and pop it again. No sub at all. If there is not enough room between the main menu and the bottom of the window to fit the full sub, AND the main menu is off home position, it does not pop (even though I'm calling for scroll).

Andy -

Under RC17 now, and all is perfect in IE6 - it scrolls, stops where it's supposed to, and pops the sub in the right place.

NS7.1 has gotten worse. The main menu is half the width of the window (and changes width as you resize the window!). The sub pops off-position when the main is at 'home', but if you scroll the page the sub then opens at the proper offsets (relative to the giant width of the main menu).

More nasty sea bass needed... :?
