Examples and docs for the effects

I saw that nice effects are possible. We had that already on version 3.5.

I can't find any examples and docs.

I found some examples how to use the effects with Version 5.0

Does it works always like this:

EffectName(Param1=Value,Param2=Value,Param2=Value)
