Hi!
I'm using the milonic xp menu on a regular basis: it's now online and is working well.
However, I've noticed that whenever I'm trying to update files (menu_data.js) or trying to add data, and then transferring those data(FTP), the update is not taken into account immediately.
Concerning modifications: locally, on my PC, I use the note-pad.
What could be the origin of my problem?
Is there a system that delays any update during the process and that could account for my trouble.
Thanks for your time,
Bernard

Bonjour,
Merci d'avance
pb update
There is nothing as far as the menu is concerned. Once you ftp anything to your server it should be available immediately on your site.
The only thing to be careful of is to make sure you save the .js files as straight text, AND upload them to your server as text (not 'automatic' or 'binary', or whatever else your ftp program may allow).

about a mistery
Sorry but I follow exactly your indications about the transfert of my menu_data.js (save as straight txt, upload as txt) and I notice the same problem : the update is not taken into account immediatly.
When I write the adresse of the menu on line I note that it's not the last version I upload. I asked my supplier of access Internet but there's not any system of mask.
I also removed the temporary files in my navigator.
what's wrong ?

I would suggest scrounging a bit of web space with another provider to see if the same thing is happening.
It sounds to me like either there is a delay in your web server updating the files, or the pages are cached in your computer preventing you from seeing the changes.
