Flashing background color in IE6/Win2k (a:hover color)

Thought I'd start a new thread on this topic, but you can check out cubefree's similar problem in this thread....

I am using IE6.0.2800.1106 on Win2000Pro with RC35 just released.

Am I the only one...?
No, I'm getting a similar effect on Win2kPro and IE6.0.2600. Here's an url that demonstrates the effect...

RC19 was fine, but when I jumped directly from RC19 to RC40, the flashing/blinking started when mousing over the menu items. It's getting the colour for the flashing from the a:hover statement in the style tag.

Note: The flashing does not occur with IE5.00.3502, Win2k Server.

Anyone have a solution or workaround for this problem?

Hi there,

Me again, not getting much response to my problem.

Can any of the devs help me on this? I'm pretty sure this is a bug since it broke somewhere between RC16 and 40. Still happening in RC44.

This is a major pain to me, so I hope it can be fixed. Yes, I can create a new class for the mouseover hover style, but not a good solution, particularly since my client will be maintaining their own site (400+ pages).

Anyway, I love this menu system and appreciate all the effort going into the developement. Yes, I've purchased a license and will buy more. I grind out several sites a year.

Thanks.

You are saying that a style or style sheet hover is picked up by the menu item?

I see it in Safari too.

I don't have a solution, sorry, you'll have to wait until the sun hovers over. ;)
