I was hoping someone could tell me how to allow an onbgcolor to take up only part of the cell. In other words, right now if I set onbgcolor to "white". The cell that says "home" is completely white. I only need part of it. Looks feasible but can't figure it out...
or am I doomed to having to use images to make it work?
Thanks in advance..
great menu!
onbgcolor resizable?
example
http://www.hopeofglorychurch.com is the site that I am installing the menu. Currently I am still testing the menu locally, but fortunately this allows you to see what I'm trying to do.
The old menu is in flash...
I am basically leaving the image of the flash in place and placing a transparent menu over it. I have the menu perfectly lined up with the tabs in the background image (image is a table background outside the mneu) but I only need a little color to show up in each cell b/c the tabs are smaller then each cell.
Wow... I"m not sure if that even makes sense to me.
if this still doesn't make sense I"ll have to post the menu version somewhere.

Ok, I think I have it. I'm not sure why you want to leave the flash images there, but have you tried to declare a menu item height and width? So they would be the size you need? The only way I can think to get a little color in only part of the cell is with an image. Also, as to position, have you checked the menu in other browsers, they may not all get the same placement given they don't all have the same auto margins, and what happens when someone resizes with the flash. I don't know, nothing may happen to throw anything off alignment. Sorry, I can't think of any other way but images. There may actually be a way and someone else may help you with it, but I can't think of how to do it except with images. Sorry.
