Version 5.61 menu moves center after loading

Post by stephen702 »

With Version 5.61 in I.E. 6, my centered menu first appears at the left and then quickly moves center. In the past, it's always displayed as centered from the moment the page was loaded.

However, this behavior occurs with I.E. 6 but NOT Netscape 7.2 or in Firefox. In Netscape and Firefox, the menu appears in the center when the page loads.

Sheesh - you really expect me to read that code... :?: :D

Think Andy's going to have to take this one.

PS - it's spelled 'javascript', not 'javascrip' (your call to the _data file).

I used one of those HTML shrinkers, so it does jam all the code together. For current purposes, I've separated out the elements before the </head> tag.

And I fixed the typo so it reads "javascript"--thanks for the alert.

Amazing I found it in all that stuff... :D

I did bring your "code" down to my server. Fails here, too.

Steven,

I'm using IE 6.0 and experienced the same problem after installing the 5.61 release. Always centered perfectly with all other releases. The menu now left justifies for a split second and then centers. Very annoying afftect to site users. I really appreciate the issues that this release fixed, but the centering problem is a real problem. Hope Andy will take a look at this and code a fix, maybe release 5.61b?

Stephen, I still have your page loaded on my server, and 5.62 does, indeed, fix the problem.

Thanks much for the fix! 5.62 does indeed fix the centering problem :D

Can't thank you enough for the quickness of this fix (5.62). I have had my Milonic menu for about 11 months now and it's this kind of attention to any problem I have ever had, that will make me want to renew my license. Thank you Andy and all the great people helping on the forum - Great product, great price, and great service!
