word MILONIC appearing on vertical and horizontal menu bars

Post by ninates007 »

Hi there,
I am a licensed user for the milonic menu and randomly i experience the words MILONIC (with a link to the Milonic website) appear on the top and side menu bars. When you click on the words it says that the website is using an invalid license. How do i overcome this problem. Could it be that within the menu_data.js file it states that the licensenumber=0 ??

thanks for your help.

Hi,

To make sure you have the version licensed to you, you have to be logged into the main site when you download the menu. If you download without logging in under your registered name, you will get the unlicensed version.

There shouldn't be any reference to your license in the menu_data.js file, unless you put it there. That file doesn't contain the license information, that's the editable file for putting your links, style, colors etc.

Sorry Ruth, my first post asked if the license details could be found in menu_data.js. I wrote the wrong file name down. What i should have said was Can the license details be found in milonic_src.js ??? because it states in that file that the licensenumber=0

Hi Nina,

Yes, that is where you can find the license details. You can also find the version details there. I don't know about finding out if it is from when you were logged in. If you were logged in to the main site, then you should have gotten the menu for your site when you clicked download. Registering on the forums and registering on the main site are two different things. If you are registered on the main site, try logging in and then go to the MyMilonic in the menu and go to my licenses and see what info you get there. If that doesn't give you what you need, then you need to contact marty[at]milonic[dot]com and find out about the license, giving all the info about the domain etc.

Hi Nina,

You have to contact marty[at]milonic[dot]com. All of the information has been removed from all the files including the copyright which has to be in there, so there's no way for me to find out what version. Just contact Marty and give her the license number, url and explain about the developer and that you now maintain the site and ask how you get the menu.
