IFrame Issue

Post by Ramius1701 »

Greetings,

I have tried without much success in finding the problem so im going to post it here.. I have upgraded to the latest version of the menu and now i cannot open anything on the menu.. below are the two links that will show what im trying to accomplish.

First is with menu Version 5.735 - Pre Release (the one i having problems with)

http://www.ufpgalaxy.net/tech/beta/

Second is with menu Version 5.732 (this one works fine) and is the last version that has worked for me.

http://www.ufpgalaxy.net/tech/

Bare in mind you will get 404 errors on these pages but it doesnt eliminate what its intended to do.. Just use the menu and you will see what im trying to get across.. Both of these sites are exactly the same in every respect except for the Milonic code..

Thanks for all the assistance

OK, I have both pages. So we understand, are you saying that the submenus won't open or that you can't open any of the pages when you click a link? If it is the latter can you specify a particular link that is not working, since there are so many links there, having one or two to check out would be much easier.

Hiya Ruth,

The beta one none of the links from the menu will open as to the current version which works correctly.. clicking the links there will open the windows like designed.. the beta one it does not function the same way..

load in FireFox with all the little windows/frames/divs or whatever they are, and I did get the link to work, however it opens it in a new window and I get an error message about something having no properties. I have to assume that because the 'frames' are not loading, there's no place for the links to send the pages, though FireFox assumes a new window, I guess because it can't find the frames/iframes

Code: Select all

Error: J_[a].frames has no properties
Source File: winman.js

This is all I can tell you since I don't know programming nor js scripting. Hope it helps.

I can understand where that error is coming from becuase the website is either not loading in its entirely or is taking to long to load.. but you are correct in firefox it will open it up in either the same window when it tries to load in the IFrame or a new window.. The only code that has changed is the milonic code from 5.372 (and below which works) and anything above that version doesnt work anymore and i cant find the cause..
