Can Milonic Menu do this?

Post by davebarnes »

I have a client who is wowed by the menu at http://www.nabshow.com/2008/default2.asp

Questions:
Can I duplicate this with the Milonic Menu?
If yes, then a pointer to instructions would be appreciated.
If no, then can I get close?

thanks,

Hi Dave,

I think you are going to have to contact Milonic on this. I have no idea how it's being done, though I've tried to take a look at that menu, but I'm not a programmer and I think someone who is might have to take a look at this to see what's being done. I will post to Milonic, but you contacting them directly might be a good thing.

Nice to see you :)

Hi Dave,

Well, I did some research and found out some things. All but the retangle and slip effects are IE transitions. So, only those two will be visible in anything but IE. They are done with javascript and unfortunately I can't help with that. I don't know that Milonic can/will/would do those two since it would entail a lot of reprogramming of the existing menu. Those two effects are also achieved using jquery and ajax, again not something I know anything about.

I'm sorry I couldn't be more help. You're a great customer and I always like helping you. You get some really interesting ideas for setting up the menus :)
