Can someone PLEASE help me with this.
I need to put the doctype <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd"> in order to have CSS spacing and padding consistent in IE and FF however when I do this the menu width extends further in IE. When I take out "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd" from the declaration, the menu width works fine in both IE and FF but then my CSS padding and margins are not consistent between both browsers.
Could anyone please shed some light as to why this is happening and what I can do the keep the menu width consistent in IE when I use <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
Hope to hear from someone soon, PLEASE!!!!!
