Menu Accessibility to handicapped, etc

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

Menu Accessibility to handicapped, etc

Post by tgaql »

Hi,

First, great menu. I've researched dozens of similar ideas, but this takes the cake (and the pie).

I work for a non-profit, public service national web site, and we would like to make sure this menu is accessible to as many of our users as possible. Clearly, you've done a great job on making it cross-browser friendly. Can you give me any information regarding accessibility for the handicapped, blind, deaf, etc?

Thank you much,
Aaron

We are working on this along with many other things - To see the progress of Accessibilty work you can visit this URL

It's a work in progress but it does have potential.

Cheers

Good to hear, Andy. At the university level this is a most critical feature, and as I'm sure you know, is now law. It's a must have with no excuses accepted. Perhaps a simple start by allowing id and/or alt tags would make the transition in easier for you (get fancy later). That alone would be a great help for me.

Thanks.
