menu speed

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

menu speed

Post by matthewthomas2002 »

I'm using Version 3.5.01, however the speed of the mouse over effect on the top level is too slow, is there any way to speed this up?

Thanks

It runs poorly (1-2 second delay) on slow PCs (>500mhz)

Upgrade to V5. It runs much faster.

Once the menu is downloaded onto your computer in your browser, its all up to your local CPU to do the work. Its gotta do all the rendering and stuff like that. version 5 is much more streamlined, cleaner, and faster than v3 so it may make it easier render on your slower PC. Also, remove any filters you may have on the menu (alpha,shadow,..), they are cpu hogs too. ;)

If you're going to stay with v3 (I wouldn't - go to v5, as the v3 series is no longer supported and v5 is much better), at least get current with 3.5.15.
