Netscape 4.79 and multiple menus

Hi,

I have a number of identical menus scattered over the page and they are supposed to change colors on mouse over.

But Netscape 4.79 (and probably before) fails to consistently switch the background and foreground colors when mousing over. Sometimes it succeeds, sometimes it does not.

I have removed any CSS to see if that was the problem, as has been said on the forum before, but that did not fix the problem.

Anyone with a similar experience?
