Menu appears to kill non-menu link in IE 6.0

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

Menu appears to kill non-menu link in IE 6.0

Post by zray26 »

We're stumped by a curious behavioral difference between (a) Mozilla 1.0 and Netscape 6.0 and (b) Internet Explorer 6.0:

We've placed a Milonic menu in a table cell (navigation column) with the recommended

<script type="text/javascript">PlaceMenu("mainmenu")</script>

across our site (http://www.rsna.org). On some pages, the last menu-controlled button in that cell is followed by a standard link (labeled "Related Links") to another HTML page in the same directory. See, for example:

http://www.rsna.org/tech/index.html
http://www.rsna.org/international/index.html
http://www.rsna.org/patients/index.html

In Mozilla 1.0 and Netscape 6.0, that last link works fine. IE 6.0 treats it like regular text - it isn't clickable. Why not?

We're using version 3.4 of menu_array.js and version 3.5.05 of mmenu.js.

It's in the HTML and not connected with the menu at all.

Not sure where it's coming from?
