Limit to menu size
We are looking for a menu that will list all 50 states when USA is selected and we were concerned with the fact that 50 menu items may not fit within the screen on most menu systems. Is there a menu program choice that can handle long item lists?

There is nothing that differentiates among long or short lists. The menu will contain as many items as its menu array defines. The Milonic personnel have indicated plans to incorporate the use of "scrollable" menus in their upcoming version 4. There has also been some discussion of the possibility of incorporating an option to have a menu split into multiple vertical or horizontal pannels (like a large Start | Programs menu in Windows).
Alternatives to consider for use while waiting for version 4: (1) Define a menu that contains some of the states (enough to ensure a proper fit). The last item in that menu would be something like "more states...>" and would open a sumbenu containing a continuing list of states. The last item in that submenu might point to another menu of still more states. And so on until you have all 50. You might, for example, have 5 menus of 10 states each. (2) Maybe you could break up your menus by region (i.e., a menu for northeast, southeast, midwest, etc.). (3) A top-level menu of letters, arranged alphabetically, would reduce the requirement to 19 items (A, C, D, F, G, H, I, K, L, M, N, O, P, R, S, T, U, V, and W). For example, the A menu would contain Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, and Arkansas. Or, you could have alphabetized groupings: "A - D", "E - H", etc.
