links and more menus

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

links and more menus

Post by matabhaine »

i need a navigation menu like this, but feel i am out of my depth here. I want to add more than the 6 or 7 menus and change the order, i can do this easily with other menus but this seems a little beyond me. If anyone thinks they can give me some advise as to get this menu with my links i would be really glad as this is the closest to the original script i used b4 and no other script will do for my site. Thanx and i hope this question is okay with you all.

This menu system is pretty much unlimited, and 6 or 7 menus should be no problem. However, you've given us nothing to work with in order to answer your question better - no URL (always needed), no real description of what you want to do, etc. Most of us are more than willing to help, but you need to help us help you :!:

If you goto http://www.banthebomb.org (i am working on this site for a company) i want to have the drop down menu in a way similar to the way the above site uses it's menu, they are probably the same menu. Hope this makes things more clear.

Much better :D

You are correct, they are using andy's menu. However, it is a very old version (3.0 beta, vs. 3.5.12 current). Probably the easiest way to see how they did things is to look at their array code at http://www.banthebomb.org/ssi/newmenu_array.js.

Their menu is very basic and will be no problem for you to implement. Get the latest version here, then compare their array with the current one in the download. Copy and paste as appropriate. Do not use their array directly with the new menu code as there have been changes to it since the one they have (especially some code they have cut off at the top of their array - might not have been in use back then, but it is now).
