Menu ok on one part of site but not other

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

Menu ok on one part of site but not other

Post by Flash_harry »

Hi,

I have two versions of the same menu one at

http://www.motorworld.org.uk/kroozin and another at

http://www.motorworld.org.uk/outdoor_world

As you can see the first is fine, but the second does not display.

I cannot see why ... any ideas? I only have a limited understanding of the menu so any help would be great.

Thanks for any help

Brilliant menu Milonic BTW

I visited both of your sites and I was able to see both of the "MAIN MENU" and submenus. I visited using Opera 6.05 browser

Hmmm,

I am using IE5.2 for Mac and I can see both the kroozin menus but only the side menu for outdoor_world.

Any ideas?

Anyone using IE for windows got a glitch?

Thanks again for any help

Under XP Pro/IE6 I have no trouble at all seeing both menus.

IE/Mac is, at best, garbage (trust me, however - I am a Mac person!). You mentioned 5.2. 5.2.2, just to be picky, is current (unless you're running Classic, I think), but I don't really think that would make a difference.

If you're running OS X try Safari. Already beats the snot out of IE and it's only at b2. The final release will put it on the top of the heap. I had trouble with my menus here on Macs (very annoying). Solution? Version 4. It is currently at b4, but extremely stable. Andy does not have quite all the bells and whistles added as yet, but it appears that what you need is working just fine.

The more comments we get on the beta the better the release will be. See http://milonic.com/4beta/menu.htm. No docs available yet - just dig into the examples provided and go from there.

IE6 throws an "invalid argument" error as soon as you mouse over the Enter Store image. In your style1 array, Mouse On Background Color is currently set to "ffccoo". In this case, the "oo" stands for "oops." ;)

Very interesting, Kevin. On IE6 here I did not get any errors.

Hey John. Maybe it's the OS... I'm using Win2k.

XP here, Kevin. Who knows? I've been getting some false errors here lately (JS complaining about syntax errors when I know all is well). Maybe it's just running backwards...
