Malicious script warning

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

Malicious script warning

Post by john.breen »

I have a visitor to this site: http://www.dusty45s.com, who claims that he is getting a malicious script warning with Norton Antivirus and is stating that it is detecting the Backdoor.coreflood.dr virus. Has anyone had Norton see the menu system as being malicious or triggering this kind of response?

I have had no other visitors state this and I am not getting it myself with Norton and Windows 2000.

Thanks in advance,
John

Have never seen any warning of any kind since I've been on this system (quite some time, now).

Two things....
First you are still using version 3 of the menu...you should post in the other forum OR upgrade to version 5. I recommend the latter of the two and upgrade! Its cheap and its well worth it! ;)

Secondly, I have never seen such an error before. What I would do is get in contact with this user and create a mirror of the page (like make a copy of it in the same directory). But take out the menu and see if they still get the warning. Or take out that scrolling script you have, see if thats causing it. Also it may help to know what browser your user is using.
