strange underlines

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

I don't see what you are talking about, but I do see you have odd alignment issues. What browser(s) are you testing with?

Yadin,

Thanks for taking a look at this!

I am testing with IE 6.0. I have tested with both Windows 98 and XP with the same results.

After posting the first message I started over and built a new menu, which appears to be working correctly. I haven't figured out what the difference(s) are yet, but I'll post them when I figure it out so other people don't make the same mistake.

On another note, you mentioned that you noticed some "odd alignment issues". Could you explain what you were referring to?

Thanks again!

strange underlines

Post by Andy »

Has anyone experienced the following: I have created a vertical menu, with sub-menus extending to the right. When the page loads, everything is fine; however when you move the mouse over a main-level menu and the sub-menu is displayed, lines can be seen (similar to underlines) where the other sub-menus would be separated.

I have placed a test page showing this at the following url:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Each of the main menu items in the parent vertical menu are stair-steped to the right as you go down the list. I wasn't sure if this was intentional as the page is clearly just in a development stage. It looks like the text has been spaced over but your submenu images are center aligned so they are in the middle of the text on the bottom items. Also, though the parent items stair over, all the sub menus show on the same left alignment, which makes them get in the way of the lower menus when an upper one is active.
This happens under IE5 on the Mac, but not NS4.79 Mac. Ultimately though this is all because you are using an old unsupported version of the menu. You have version 3.0 beta and it was known to have a lot of issues. The current version is 3.3.18, available from our website. Note that if you update you need to re-do your array file with the new format as the old one will not work with the new menu.
Cheers!
Yadin
