Wish: dead parent links to adhere to Windows menu convention

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

Wish: dead parent links to adhere to Windows menu convention

Post by matt@mysecretbase.com »

Here's another suggestion to add to the Wish List:

Allow a parent menu item to be ''dead''

Standard Windows menu behavior is for a parent 'flyout' item -- an item that has children directly underneath it -- to NOT be any sort of link. Hover over it and you get no link behavior at all. This is a fairly well-established convention that either

a) isn't currently present or

b) I'm not smart enough to figure out how to implement ;D

A good example of this is the IE File/New menu item. New itself is not a link, and clicking on it does nothing.
