Simple onLoad window.focus() statement not working

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

Simple onLoad window.focus() statement not working

Post by Andy »

Hi. First off, great menu! Thanks for making it available to all of us out here in the digital wasteland.

I didn't see a resolution to my issue in the topics below, so I thought I'd see if anyone has a solution.

I've created a site that is launched into a pop-up from the homepage. I'm using the DHTML menu in each page of the site. Also in each page is this command in the <body> tag: onLoad="window.focus()" . I want to make the site such that if a user un-focuses the pop up window and then click the home graphic, the default page will reload and refocus the popup window back to the top. Basically I want the popup to always refocus itself so that users don't have to go hunting for it behind other windows...

I've done this before with simpler pages and it works. I do this with the menu system inserted, and it doesn't work.

Site that works: http://www.electroglyph.com/clients/ver ... comps.html

Site that doesn't work (with menu inserted):
http://www.rightbraincentral.com

Anyone run across this problem and (hopefully) a solution to it?

Thanks in advance!
