Horizontal submenu offset problem (bug ?)

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

Horizontal submenu offset problem (bug ?)

Post by iteams »

I put togheter a horizontal menu system and I'm having a slight problem.

The menu is currently at http://213.193.146.35/pis/index.asp

This page is cut up into several includes so I hope it's not too complicated.

I have two horizontal bars, each 600px wide. They both align perfectly underneath eachother and they are seperated by their colors.

The first time you do a rollover on any menu item, everything is aligned perfectly, but the second time everything shifts to the left.
Depending on screensize this is sometimes more clear.

This is aparantly only a problem with horizontal submenus, I changed the last menu item to vertical and it always aligns at the correct offset, the horizontal submenus seem to forget their offset.

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong ?

any help is welcome,
Peter.

I noticed a similar action happening in a frame set up on a vertical menu also. It is ever so slight but nonetheless happening. When rolling the mouse over the level 1 frame the level 2 frame (sub menu) shifts down a bit. It only happens on the first rollover and after that it remembers its spot. Just thought I'd get my two cents in. Cya.

So, do you think it is a bug or something we did wrong ?

I have been going over the configuration a lot of times now and can't figure out what is causing this.
It's really strange that the first time you roll over it's perfect and only happens the second time...
