HEY all, im new to these forums.
i recently utalised the menu 4 for my upcoming webpage, and it has worked nicely.
just one problem. on my webpage the menu sits at the same level as an image. the image is left justified and is 150pxls wide. the page is autostretch and menu is right justified at all times.
the problem is i dont want the menu to over lap this image on the left of the menu. it is 150pxls wide so is there a way to create a left margin in the javascript for this menu so that when it reaches 150pxls away from the left hand side of page it stops.

please see my url to see what i mean. the image im referring to is right underneath the logo. it is 150pxls wide and to the left of the menu.
if anyone can help i would be so grateful and mention them in the comments of the js file
SETTING MARGIN FOR MENU
It is definitely v3, and quite literally, at least 50 or more versions down-level!
As noted above, v3 is no longer supported. Upgrade to the new v5 at http://milonic.com/, get it set up, and if you're still having problems come on back (post to the proper area!) and we'll be glad to help.

i dont really need v 5, ive just made myself a simple menu in v3 or whatever version i grabbed of a scripting site and it is effective. nothing fancy. i just want to set a left hand margin so the menu will stop moving accross to the left when the screen is resized.
plz someone let me know. u guys all sound like intelligent people. has anyone done something like this???
plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help

Mitcho,
The version you have is way down from even the last version of 3. So, for many of us we wouldn't even know what could and couldn't be done at that level. You have 3.3.19 so that's however many numbers down from the last no longer supported 3.5.16 - lots of versions. The only suggestion I have would be to make a table in that row you are now trying to place the menu with top and left... a table of one row with two columns sizing the first column to be the specific width away from the left edge so that the menu would never move closer to the left then that, and put the menu in the right hand column with the placemenu code. YOu can find that someplace on the forum by searching for placemenu in version 3 section of the forum. And, I do suggest you upgrade to 5, you have a simple menu which the online coversion tool would convert easily, and you would have little editing to do [there would be some, punctuation mostly, and the effect,] and we would be glad to help. Sorry, we can't do more with this but we just don't have the information on a version that old. Besides, even though you have a simple menu, think of the advantage as time goes on when you want something more complex.

The guys are right, you really do need to use the V5 menu. You may have got the old version working, but there is no guarantee that visitors to your site will not encounter problems - one minor update to IE or NS could render your site inoperable.
V5 is easier to code, you have a much better chance of it working in the future (probably a 100% chance!) and if revise your site you won't be restricted by the limits of V3.

Unless you qualify as a free site (see http://milonic.com/ for the license details), yes it does cost for a license. However, that cost is minimal compared to what you get. Further, v3 is NOT supported, which is stated in more than one place on our sites, including this Topic. Therefore, asking for support on a product you know is not supported, and in which problems you're asking about are more than likely fixed in v5, is - well, let's just say not right.
Make any sense?
