*Partial* transparency of menu (or menu image)

I need to have a menu where the background image of the menu is "partially transparent" That is I still want the image so setting the offbgcolor="transparent" is not an option. Is there a setting which will do this for me?

Not a setting that I know of, but you could make your image partially transparent with any good image editing program.
