In case it helps, I can say that printing on an HP LaserJet 2200D using the latest PCL 5e driver works fine. But I remember having problems printing my own page with an horizontal Milonic menu last year. The problem has disappeared; I cannot say if the problem was corrected by the menu code or a ...

My point is that whenever you update with a new RC, you need to open the file in, say, Notepad, locate the spot where you must write the number, locate the number itself if you do not have it in front of your eyes, type it into the file, save and close the file. All this rather than simply select ...

Pasting license number in the milonic_src.js file
While I understand the point in jgillett's recent message asking to paste one's Milonic license number in the appropriate spot in the milonic_src.js file, it seems to me that it is quite annoying to do this every time an RC is issued, which is several times a week. Wouldn't it be more simple to ...

Functions to hide menu while printing no longer work
Back in the time of version 3, Andy or someone who is very knowledgeable suggested using the following code to cause the menu to disappear briefly while the print command is issued in order to prevent printing problems. I thus inserted the following code in the page:
</script>
<script type="text ...

What I see is that if I add "text=2;" under "with(milonic=new menuname("Main Menu")){ style=menuStyle;", the main menu leaves a blank on the left. Therefore, when the first menu is open, both the main menu and the submenu align and there is a long vertical white background line. I wonder if Andy has ...

First submenu leaves thin white vertical line on left side
I don't know if you will call this a bug, but I have noticed that since RC10 (now using RC27), my full width horizontal menu no longer displays as it used to. My setting is menuwidth="100%", left-aligned, with no border. Now I see (still using the same personalized file) that when I drop down the ...

Menuwidth="100%" command still broken in RC22
I would like to point out that the bug with the Menuwidth="100%" command, which appears to have stopped functioning after RC18, still seems to be broken as of RC22 (11 November 2003). The explanations will be found earlier in this thread. Basically, the command no longer causes the brown menu bar to ...

Menuwidth="100%" command broken in RC20
Following Hergio's suggestion, I am posting the contents of two messages I posted in the same thread < http://www.milonic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=12344#12344 > in this forum section.
Message 1:

Major formatting problem with the documentation
Have a look at <http://www.milonic.co.uk/itemproperties.php>, the documentation is no longer there and replaced by some code. The page <http://www.milonic.co.uk/styleproperties.php> is totally empty. I suppose that this is accidental.

Problem with "menuwidth" variable (change from RC1
I had finally found how to use the menuwidth="100%" command to cause the menu bar to extend to the right edge of the screen a few RCs ago. Now, I just installed RC20 and the menu bar now stops at the end of the last main menu item. Has the command been broken? I was forced to revert to RC18. My code ...

Having one specific menu entry in a different colour
With reference, for instance, to the "Opening Windows & Frames" sample < http://www.milonic.co.uk/menusample.php?sampleid=11 >, I cannot find in code provided on the page what causes the "Opening Windows and Frames" entry under the menu item "Menu Samples" to appear in a darker blue than the other ...

To my greatest shame, I must admit that the changes to my files that were required by the disappearance some time ago of the "scriptpath" variable contained mistakes (i.e., one top directory level missing in the relative references to the location of the scripts). This meant that, even though I was ...

"Itemwidth" variable still broken in RC15
I apologize for coming back again on this topic, but the trick consisting in adding "itemwidth=100%" inside a supplementary (empty) main menu item to cause the menu bar to extend to the right of the screen, which stopped working after RC11 or maybe RC10, still gives no result; the menu bar stops at ...

The problem is precisely that clicking underneath the menu does not make a search possible (though I remember that with version 3 the highlight could leave the menu and search the text). The cursor must remain stuck within the menu text (where you cannot see it). I have tried several times but to no ...

Severe conflict between menu and Find function in IE6
Here is a problem on which I posted several months ago; it does not appear to have been solved.
Load a page such as < http://www.milonic.com/menusample.php?sampleid=6 > and type Ctrl-F to bring up the Find dialog box. Now type "multiple properties" to search for a string of text that appears not ...
