Milonic JavaScript Menu

Yes, there is a version of Milonic that does this. It was called Mad Toast when I installed it. I assume that the new version 5, about to be released, will include it.

One thing I'd certainly like to be able to do is define both fonts and width of the (vertical) menu in ems rather than pts, so hopefully it would resize according to people's browser font sizing.

I see that (in IE6), the floating menu on the front page of the Milonic site has a very nice soft drop shadow behind it.

How as that effect achieved? It seems good to have!

Sorry, it was my mistake in including spaces beginning and end of the span title item (to make it just have a bit of space around it and be easier to read). Take those out, and I think it works perfectly!

and so should highlight it differently in MadToast.

Interesting, my version of the menu (MadToast) doesn't have that option. However, as I am using a floting menu, it is not important to the page structure that it load quickly, and for speed of page loading, I did in fact put the two scripts near the end.

That's interesting that it is browser-dependant.

So maybe my own wish to slightly differentiate pages with ?something or #something WILL work in later browers. I will try again.

Thanks for your advice John. I find that NN also struggles with these, as well as not rendering the shape of the menu correctly (if I can fix it, I will, though only 4% of people still use NN4). I think it may have been an issue with apostrophes. Would you be kind enough to check again using NN ...
