Worst in Mac IE 5.2, but also a problem in Mac Netscape 6.x, Windows IE 6, Windows Netscape 4.x and Windows Netscape 6.x to a lesser degree.
Problem goes away if I don't have an Alternate URL specified. Appears to be a bug.

The sub-menu image is mis-aligned with nav item when I also specify an alternate URL.

Sub Menu Image Alignment
For some reason my sub-menu image (a small arrow) will not align properly with the menu text and actually forces that menu item higher than the rest.
