Opaque background on main menu item?

Hi all,

My first post :)

I have a vertical menu that I've pinned to a table cell. It is currently transparent, so the background image in the table cell shows through the menu items.

I use blank transparent headers to space out the menu items nicely, but what I'd like to do is put an opaque ...
