Sorry, I meant horizontal menu.

What I want to do is have a horizontal menu that spans the whole width of the screen. But I only have 5 items in the menu (help, tools, about, ...). When I use the span = 100% the background colour of the menu spans across the whole screen, but there is a big space ...

I was wondering if it was possible when setting the width of a vertical menu to somehow tell the menu items to exand out to fill the width of the menu as well?
