Hi Ruth,

I'm usually pretty good at figuring things out, but I doubt that I would have found the italic setting as being the culprit! Nice job :D

I've changed the button menu name to 'Top Menu'.

I tested moving the main and secondary menus out of the table they were in and placing a 'position ...

Thanks, Viken.

No, not using Frontpage.
In IE, I just double click on the error icon and a small window opens displaying the information.

And Hi, Ruth.

Are you using IE? I see the error in IE6. And just a note - the error only shows when you mouse-over the arrow graphic.

(Any testing noted below ...

Thanks for taking the time to check this.

In case it's needed, the version currently loaded to the site is 5.738

Replaced the sources files with the latest (5.739) and I'm testing locally (haven't uploaded the new files yet). It's still showing the error, although it has changed slightly:

The ...

The error (should have posted it before - sorry) is:

Line: 21
Char: 6759
Error: Object required
Code: 0
URL: http://www.webstudiohelp.net/

I tried moving those files outside of the table - didn't make a difference.

There is a seperate file for styles (menu_styles.js) - this was suggested as the ...

Javascript error on Floating "Back to Top" button

Just curious if anyone can see anything obvious (I see the error in IE, but not FF).

http://www.webstudiohelp.net/index.html
- look to the left side border for the graphic.

I'm getting an error on pages where I've called a simple menu (really just an image of an arrow being used).

Here's all that ...

I've done the following:
- Made a new file called menu_styles.js and placed just the style/s for the menu in it.
- Placed a script tag to call that file (outside of the table items) on all pages.
- Went into all of the .js files for the menu items and removed those items now located in the menu ...

I just tested the tooltip link on your site, Michael (used IE6 and FF 1.0.7), and while it does pop up on initial MO, it drops out of sight on IE. In FF, it kind of works - initially shows next to the cursor, but then drops down if you move the mouse.

I'm a little confused ... how would the main menu section/s compile and display properly without the definitions included in them?

If you know of a link that shows how it should be done properly, I'd be eager to see it. ;)

Changes have been made and uploaded. I also added a few overflow="scroll"; entries on longer lists - we'll see how the viewers like that (I tend to forget that some people might not have a scrolling mouse 8O ).

Thanks again.

Thanks, Michael.

I posted a question to Andy a while back when first working on this type of layout, and all indications at that time were that it would work as is (and it did ;) ).

I just did a quick test by using a second 'embedded' main menu for one of the pages in question, then placed the ...

Some SubMenu Items Wrong Size

I'm seeing a problem on different submenu items in IE6 - appears that the itemwidth settings aren't working properly on a few items, and they don't open to full size. The strange part is that most do .... :?

This seems to be related to the version of the menu (just purchased), since the version ...

Text Color Problem in Netscape 7.1

Please check here: http://www.isftv.com

As far as I can tell, it looks OK in most browsers except in Netscape 7.1, where the text stays almost the same color as the background for the page you're on. Looks like a solid black box until you mouse over it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Thanks, Dave.
I agree about the menu being a little overkill at this point, although it did start out being used for drop-down submenus. Worked great for a few items, but couldn't fit enough items horizontally to make it work for both in a reasonable fashion.
Thanks for the help!

Current test site is: http://www.ihoststudio.com/TrialSite647 ... index.html

The original submenus have been replaced with vertical menus on both the "Our Services" and "Partner Bios" pages. The previous question pertaining to the link in the main menu is ...
