Thanks, Ruth. I've removed the 'status' stuff from the menus - I didn't realise it no longer worked in the menus (a retrograde step???). The combined two items are now working using the code:

aI("text=<? include("g:/websites/the-limes/htdocs/online/online.php")?><br><? include("g:/websites/the ...

Sorry, Andy, but I've tried your suggestion (and also tried a couple of minor changes) but I cannot get the second line to show. The test page is at http://www.the-limes.com/index2.html

Combining two menu items

Can you please show me how to combine the following two menu items into a single menu item with a line break between the displayed 'Users Online' and Users Today'. I have tried but am not knowledgeable enough with the required phrasing, and as a consequence cannot get it to work.

aI("text ...

Mis-placed menu

I am wanting to change my own custom menu for the tramline menu supplied by Milonic in the samples section. I have done a test page with the new menu and I cannot for the life of me get it to position in the top left corner of the screen. It seems to be ignoring the head section and become placed in ...

OK, I've done the border bit, and as you thought, it has stabilised the bottom menu. Weird...(but who's complaining?!).

Many thanks.

Ruth, glad you like what I'm trying to do.

I have uploaded the latest version of the menu. I have (I think) implemented all of your suggestions, and throughout the website. It has made a big improvement using the fixed margin width as opposed to my percentage margin.

But......I still have the ...

Firefox display problem

I have a problem which appears to be isolated to my homepage only (no other page on my website) and only with Firefox (not IE or Netscape).

If (using IE or Netscape) you go to my homepage at http://www.the-limes.com and place your cursor over the flashing MENU and slide it down through the menu ...

Andy,

You are a star, and I am a complete wally. Thank you so much for finding my html error which was causing the problem. The Milonic script was behaving perfectly, after all. Happy New Year, Maestro!

onfunction/offfunction image switching using a 'swap' script

Hi Guys,

I have a problem Milonic Menu v5 to do with onfunction/offfunction image switching (using a 'swap' script). This can be seen by going to my home page http://www.the-limes.com and sliding your mouse to the flashing MENU and then sliding down to the 'Simon's Work' entry on the submenu. You ...

I've sorted a lot of the problems - it was due to Unix as opposed to Windows paths....

I am re-posting as a fresh item the last (and remaining problem)

Latest version

OK, I've done that. And to make doubly sure, I deleted the folder on my domain where I keep the scripts, then recreated it empty, and then reuploaded my scripts into it. The problems remain unaltered.

A third problem which has started as a result of my change of web host is that now, every time I ...

I'm also getting the following error message:

Line 9, Character 22, Error 'document.images.menupic' is null or not an object

This may be because the menu isn't displaying?

Unterminated String Constant and menu not showing

I have just moved my domain (http://www.the-limes.com) from one host using apache to another using a Windows Server. I have changed nothing in my Milonic files: I just uploaded the same files in the same directories to the new host. On the old host the two menus on my site were working flawlessly ...

I've given that a try, Ruth, but it only works in the sense that it is creating a blank line at the top of each sub menu, which, if the mouse cursor is slid across onto it before sliding vertically down the menu list, gives the illusion of having solved the problem. The problem is not, however ...

maybe something with the timing of the firing of the functions...why not try putting a bit of a space between the menus (you wouldnt be able to tell since the menu is the same color as the page) and maybe this will allow the off even to fire and complete for the one sub and then the on function to ...

Onfunction/Offfunction problem

I'm having problems with onfunction/offfunction. This can currently be seen at http://www.the-limes.com/test.html .
