Hey Kevin, thanks a lot for your support! I think you are definitely right; I have not had any complaint or comment regarding this issue so far, neither from the client nor from visitors, so I will assume everything is fine for now. ;-) Actually, I'm supposed to meet with the client this week, and t...

all i can say is : OUCH ! :-D and i thought there simply already was a setting in the menu program! anyways, i don't think any of us knows JS enough to fiddle around with it in this case, and I've realized this: in 800x600, the menu appears correctly in a default IE/XP setting. On my setup i have 2 ...

alright, here is a test page i just set up :

http://www.talieoh.com/test/test.html .

It's the "Members" sub-menu. There is also a bug which makes my sub-menus' horizontal offset appear incorrectly on the first display, but i'll get to that afterwards!

thanks!

ugghhh... you're getting that too ? you're using IE6 with XP, right? We've had this problem for some time, and it just goes away by itself after a while! We have NO idea what the heck's going on with this... :-| anyways, try going right away to http://www.talieoh.com/welcome.html . But you won't be ...

always visible?

I'm baaaaack ! :-P I'm still working on the same old site as i was the last time (http://www.talieoh.com for those who remember, an adult site, you've been warned ! ;-) ), and i've encountered a little problem : I have a menu where a sub-menu appears and it's height is higher than what's left in the...

thanks for the compliment, Kevin ! You have no idea how much work it is though... cos i cannot really use transparency because of that outer glow, so i have to _cut every button on every page to match the different backgrounds_ ... :-| ... anyways ! so i updated the code to the latest version (just ...

little position bug on first appearance

Hi everyone, me again ! :-D Been installing the menu on a new site, and once again, i'm using only images. Anyways, there seems to be a bug with the relative positioning : whenever i open a sub-menu for the first time, it doesn't appear in the correct position. However, as soon as it closes, any tim...

need help with positioning

Ok, here I am again ! :-D This is for a new project I'm working on. Here's the lowdown : This site has a fixed width of 750 pixels, and it is centered in a table. When you're using 800x600, you don't see any difference, but when you're at 1024x768 and up, you see that the site has only 750px, and ta...

Hey !

Ok, I was setting up the test version, and found out that it works now. I guess it must have been another problem, or something related to a previous update version. Anyways, I guess it's gonna be fine now !

Btw, as an added bonus, is it possible that this new version is somewhat faster ?

Ok, I _have_ tried upgrading, and as soon as I do so, for some reason, the menu does not appear anymore. And I have never been able to determine why... :-|

Like I was saying, in XP it does work well, it's 98 that's troublesome...

menu closes but not links ?

I'm having a little problem here. In this menu : http://www.nexus-is.qc.ca/~acmdp/conseillers.htm , sometimes the links to my sub-menus (for example the one under "mission") actually stay open, even when that sub-menu is closed. For example, if i'm not putting my mouse cursor over the main...

I found this while looking around on the net : http://www.koivi.com/ie-png-transparency/ an interesting PHP script that fixes things up in IE 5+ automatically... however, if you take a look at it, i don't think it could be used if the images are going to be used in the menu, but i could be wrong... ...

me again, sorry i was kinda out of the loop for a few days !

ok, so let's say, if i keep the images without any shadow out of Photoshop, i could simply use the effect IN the menu's filter controls themselves, and if i'm not mistaken, i could achieve a similar effect, no ?

well, actually, the idea with PNG-24's is that you CAN make them transparent and have a much more precise transparency than with GIFs... but this could be incompatible with the menu ? It could be an interesting thing to implement, then....

ok, you can start checking it out at http://nexus-is.ca/~yannick/acmdp/conse ... illers.htm . if you go over the "mission" button, you can see the sub-menu images that are causing trouble.

all help will be greatly appreciated !
