Flat headers in 3D menus

Is it possible to display flat headers in a menu that has 3D enabled?

Thanks,

Erwin

Sorry for the delay. The site is http://www.infibail.com

Interestingly, I did nothing to it. It just worked.

Netscape 4.79 and multiple menus

Hi,

I have a number of identical menus scattered over the page and they are supposed to change colors on mouse over.

But Netscape 4.79 (and probably before) fails to consistently switch the background and foreground colors when mousing over. Sometimes it succeeds, sometimes it does not.

I have ...

Thanks Tony,

... but just as I was ready to give up, I realise that only Opera (v6.04) is not showing the current topic.

NS (v4.79) and IE (v.6.028) do show everything nicely.

This is maybe something to look at for new releases, Andy?

Best regards,

Erwin

BTW: I am using the Mad Toaster ...

Tony,

I just read this message thread and see that it relates to what I am doing...

I want to highlight the entire navigation tree for the page that the visitor is looking at. I tried the "Mad Toaster" version, but I cannot get it to succeed.

The reason, I believe, could be the fact that all the ...

highlighting parent menu

Paul,

I guess I did not explain it correctly. What I need is the parent menu(s) of a particular active page to be highlighted as well as the submenu that points to the active page:

MainMenuItem
¦
¦___SubMenu1Item
¦
¦___SubMenu2Item

If I select SubMenu2Item I would like to see the MainMenuItem ...

highlighting parent menu

Hi,

I have searched the forum for an answer on the possibility to highlight the parent menu for the current page set by a submenu. I could not find an answer, thus this message.

Is this something that the menu is supposed to / capable of doing?

Thanks,

Erwin

Re: menu display in Opera and NS

John and Stefan,

I completely have to agree with you both on the outcome of the IE/NS battle...

Well, NS warned it would happen if certain practices were not suppressed...

But, more importantly, I have found how to display the menu correctly: I set the border colour to the same value as the ...

Re: menu display in Opera and NS

Well, I use it because there are still many people out there that use it.

The only reason I don't use IE4 for development as well is because of the (in)famous integration of post win95 operating systems and IE... but my guess is that if the site is viewed correctly on NS4 then it is likely to be ...

Re: menu display in Opera and NS

Thanks for the response. The problem I have with it is that I populate the menu strings dynamically depending on the language preferences of the site visitor. Therefore, it would be a mess having to recalculate the menu width every time...

Any other suggestions?

I thought that the menus would work ...

menu display in Opera and NS

I can't get the menus displayed correctly in Opera 6 and NS4. the menu displays the menu background colour correctly for the width of the string but displays a "space" with another colour for shorter menu items.

Any thoughts?
