I put this in the main menu reference and it did not resolve the submenu position, but moved the main menu to the top of the window:

fixMozillaZIndex=true; //Fixes Z-Index problem with Mozilla browsers but causes odd scrolling problem, toggle to see if it helps
_menuCloseDelay=500;
_menuOpenDelay ...

did you check if you could take the menu out from the div and position it absolute using top= : and left= ; ??

Michael
Where does that position information go?

I will note that I removed ALL settings in my JS file and am controlling the menu strictly through CSS. This is the information related to the menu behavior:

.menuOff7 { margin: 0 0 0 15px; color: #594737; padding-bottom: 3px; font-size: 16px; font-family: Georgia, "New Century Schoolbook"; font ...

Submenu alignment in IE

I have looked at a few suggestions on the board and do not like what I see on the submenu alignment problem I have. I need to maintain the DIV structure and do not want to use tables if possible. My CSS needs cleanup but could someone give me an idea on the subs for this menu in IE? Thank you

vikenk,

Thanks for the idea, but that does not work. My confusion I think stems frmo the way PHP works. PHP would generate the actual HTML and text, which therefore would be affected by the class associated. I will use the method Ruth mentioned and tweak it to make it work the way I need it ...

Just out of curiosity, aren't we essentially talking about a:link and a:hover? If I place the menu reference inside a div with a class declaration, shouldn't that be enough, or does it have to be declared inside the corresponding js file? In other words, why doesn't this work:

<div class="menu ...

Custom CSS

I would like to use my own CSS to handle the styling of the menu elements. Is this possible? I noticed that even if I blank out the "menUStyle" details, it does not pick up the CSS that the menu is already a part of. Can the CSS references be put in this section directly (ie reference the class ...

The menu should be in the short blue bar.

Just to be sure, you see the images at the top that make up the menu? Only the sponsors section has a drop down.

I am trying to figure out why my home view is different. I can not see it in IE, or Firefox.

I just upgraded my JS files, BTW

You can see and use the menu? It must be this computer then. I only have this issue from my home PC. Strange.

Thanks for the check!

Strange Behavior

When I make my link references to a specific file, (i.e. /tom/waits.php) versus the folder itself (i.e. /tom/) the menu completely disappears! You can see that it is missing here:

Here is my menu_data content:

One menu option error

I am happy with the menu system, but there is ONE column that seems to have a fixed width, and I can not get rid of it. The menu options and data are the same as others, but it refuses to adjust width like the others. I even rearranged it, rebuilt it, etc. Here is the link:
