We are actually very happy with our menu, it has worked flawless for months, and has recieved very positive feedback.

One issue is that some users disable javascript, I have looked into this and milonic reccomends using a table in a <noscript>

I think that I have found a bug.

When you select a menu item, the menu Highlights your current location. This works good if the location matches exactly.

The problem is that sometimes the url can be pointing to the same location but be a little different.

I had this problem too, I used document-root-relative path and it worked great, and solved all path issues.

The first thing to do is create a folder in the root of your local machine

example: C:\ menu\

For some reason everything works perfect except menu is messing up with a paintboard script that uses a iframe.

When I goto the "editor" of the paintboard the menu and the paintboard (editor mode only) stop functioning correctly.

Dude you need to format your page, it runs all off the screen and the tables are really messed up, when you set your font size to smallest its okay but most ppl dont have that, on the default its bad the text is totally looks wrong, the menu breaks on large.

I think I get what his problem might be.. I had the problem when I set the image path based on the location of menu_data.js, you need to use the path for the page, not the menu files.

To fix the problem just create a global folder called /menu for all your menu files then use a root relative path ...

Its already been done,

All you need to do is incude the add the module for the menu, then id span your menu as movable. You might need to tweak it out with a tree menu but it should be possible.

If I understand your question then you need to use frames. I cant imagine what you mean by strict, a simple java pulldown is very basic. and will run on almost any site, including geocities, and freewebs ect.

Milonic is much more then a just a simple pulldown, its a complex navigational system ...
