Hi,

You have left off the hash mark # from the pagecolor in the menu_data.js file so FF and NN assume there is no pagecolor and are using your css a:visited color which is reddish.

If putting the # in doesn't fix it, that means the stylesheet is taking dominance over the data file and you can add ...

The first problem is your version. You're running 5.747, current is 5.752. You must be at the current version for support. Let us know when you're up to level and we'll take another look.

Hello John,

Just to let you I have updated to 5.752 but I am still having the problem.

As for notices, nobody gets one unless you subscribe to the http://milonic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3108 topic. Use the 'Watch this topic for replies' link at the bottom. You'll get an email whenever I ...

Problem with active page font colour (pagecolor)

All the active pages are on a grey background and white text. All except the Home Page, for some reason the text turns red instead of being white.

Here is the link to the site, I'm hoping that someone can help me sort this problem. :D

Hi,

In the download there is a folder with extras in it, one of those is a listbased menu. That will allow the menu to also be read by browsers with js turned off, because the list menu will show on the page.

I don't know much about reader type browsers so I have no idea if they read the menu or ...

I have never been able to get keypress.js to work on my test site, which has two horizontal menus. I have tried everything over the past few months, but nothing solves the problem.

Could you take a look? It's on our internal server, but not protected:

Can Milonic JavaScript menu be read by text-only browsers?

I heard that it is possible to make the menu readable by text-only browsers. Is this true and how is this done? I've just managed to make it accessible by keyboard-only users so my job would be complete if the menu could be read by text-only browsers so that blind people can access it.

Thanks in ...

Hi,

The first thing you are going to have to do is upgrade your menu. You are way downlevel. Download the newest version, and make sure that you take your older version and save the files someplace in case you have to go back to them, if there's some problem with the new ones. Then upload the new ...

Hi,

(John) As always, the most current version of the menu is available at http://www.milonic.com/menuvinfo.php . Also keep in mind that the latest full version is the only officially supported code.

Michael

Hello Michael,

By "full version", do you mean the "paid version"?

Hi,

Go to the main site: http://www.milonic.com/

and when you get there try using the tab to move and see what happens.

If that works then we need to see your page to figure out why it's not working on yours. I didn't go through the whole menu just a couple of tabs but it seemed to work for me ...

Hi,

I believe that keypress.js has to go after the menu_data.js file and you'd need to put the correct path based on your site. For example if it's in the same folder as all the pages, it would only be keypress.js not /keypress.js

Ruth

I placed it under menu_data2.js, but when I use the tab ...

Accessibility and keyboard-only users

I am not a Javascript expert and I'm only familiar with editing the menu_data.js file. Is there a way so that people with disabilities and who cannot use a mouse can use the menu by using only the keyboard.
