I found a very good explanation on MSDN's site of "windowed" and "windowless" elements and how they operate/relate in IE and IFRAME/SELECTS. This is great though. I'm looking forward to getting it working in my project. Thanks, again!

What is the specific CSS/JS/code that automatically prevents the menu from showing the SELECTs underneath? I have a different project that uses a floating DIV/IFRAME combination and notice that your menu does not seem to have a problem with covering SELECTs when displayed.

Any help or suggestions ...

After reading another post at viewtopic.php?t=5071 from Team Member John, I see that v5.51 is now available so I picked it up and installed it on my site. Whatever it does, it fixed my problem.

I've taken your suggestion and moved my three project categories into a folder named "/projects" resulting in:

/projects
--/business
--/churches
--/schools

I edited the "Projects" menu to

I had been using v 5.35 and was pleasantly pleased to see how the menu auto-highlighted the currently selected "tree" from the top-most menu down to the nth level where the current page was displayed.

I just upgraded to v5.50 and noticed this "feature" is now gone. I did not update my menu_data.js ...

With the extensive use of CSS in the menu code, the cuplrit is/was the underscores. I know I nearly went crazy trying to figure out why my custom CSS named styles with underscores in them wouldn't work on my pages. Like you, I took out the underscores and, voila'!, everything worked perfectly ...

Apparently the difference was not defined in the array file after all... I just implemented the ".08" version and got that behavior automatically. At least I'm pretty sure I did... I was tweaking some other settings, but I don't think I did anything different that I hadn't before to make ...

Just my .02 here, but couldn't you add some quick code like Dreamweaver uses in the menu_arry.js file to "preload" the images when the JS loads/runs?

i.e. the MM_preloadImages() function from version 3+
