Yup... figured it out and just commented out the pagebgcolor in my main menu style. I didn't even know about the nobreadcrumb part. With as may config variations as can be made with this, I figure MAYBE I'll learn them all in about 6 months :roll: !

How to apply menu to header graphic
I know this can be done using Heirmenu software but wondering about Milonic. Need to place top level menu text over image and have sub-menus show below. I'm just not sure if the top level of Milonic menu can somehow be transparent so as to only show the text over the header image.
