Is it possible to remove the shadow that appears to the right side of the menu to make it look more 3d-ish?

its too long to match the table size, but if i reduce the menu width, its too short and i can't make it work with a decimal number like i could other versions of this menu (such as 93.5 ...

Is there a way to have more than one effect per item?

I'd like to have a dissolve and still have the menu be transparent. is hit possible? if so, how?
