I've been developing a site that had same menu as you want:
Style 1: Using seperate images for top nav:

swapimage in version 3.4
It looks like the image does not swap automatically in version 3.4 while The previous version does it when the images named "image.gif" and "image_over.gif ". It should take much time in case to swap arrow image for many submenu...Am I wrong?

I had problem when to try this
"<img src=images/home.gif border=0>","index.htm swapimage=images/home_over.gif show-menu=strategy",,"",0
it seems "show-menu" can not be used with "swapimages"
PLease advise...
