Re: Menu behind flash in Firefox 3
Thanks Ruth I am not that great at programming so thanks for the tip on how to add that para. This form is a coffeecup web form which works great but is a flash file that is being feed by the xml file. I use other AJAX on the site and the z-index in the menus works just fine. I will make that change...

Re: Menu behind flash in Firefox 3
Help me out here: go to www.fragilex.org/html/contactus.htm and tell me why the menus hide behind the flash form but do not hide with IE browsers. I have set the z-index in the menus. I have another page "about the foundation" that uses some AJAX and the menus know there place in both brow...

Re: CSS not working in FF or Opera
Thanks...I like to use the full code as a reminder. You are right the new code removes the status and just shows the url. I rather liked the status. Too bad it was removed. I still have some pages with the old call to the old files and it is a nice feature. Oh well...sometimes progress is not all th...

Re: CSS not working in FF or Opera
Mystery solved. I was using the example of the padding CSS in the Milonic site and that might work for padding (it does in FF etc.) but the syntax for borders was wrong. .mmborder {border-bottom-color:#eddb87;border-bottom-style:solid;border-bottom-width:1px;} This is the correct code for borders. T...

Re: CSS not working in FF or Opera
You say both of those files contain the license info? I applied the new menus since I had version 3 running and the milonic menu item showed up at the top of the menus until I added the "combo" js file. I am going to try removing the other two files to see if things indeed run with just th...

Re: CSS not working in FF or Opera
Interesting about the js files. I did not see anything about that when installing. I have used them for years and the new ones are different and better. I have been helping a friend with his site and his "licensed" menus and I told him he needed that file since it had his licensing informa...

CSS not working in FF or Opera
Info: I have a center horizontal menu on my site http://www.fragilex.org home page and I just wanted to have a border along the bottom of the menu and not on the top or sides. I am using three menus, left, top and right. I used the following CSS in the head of the home page and not in the menu. It w...

Re: Display menu buttons based on user's profile
I know if you are using cold fusion you could have an index link to a table full of menu_data.js files for a login user to pull a menu data file when you are logged in and set a cookie at the same time. If the cookie was set to not expire and they did not delete it the next time they went to the sit...

No I have never used that. Is there a tutorial? Yes I agree I would rather use the menus from milonic since the ones I built look better.

vertical menu
That works great....more css learning. Now here is a tough one. My client wants the menu to scroll on the page sometimes called follow the window. I know how to do that with the milonic menus but I'm wondering if that can be done with this menu since it is an include call in asp. Some of the pages i...

The zindex works...thanks ruth
I added it to each css group and then went back and added the milonic menu to the footer include file and your fix works. Go check it out in production. The only think about those menus that I haven't figured out yet and it maybe only in IE but they jump like they are reloading as you move the mouse...

z-index
Didn't think of using it in the css. I used it in the div command. Will have to test this real time and then go do some research on the zindex tag.

more on the menu overlap
I tried the div and z tag but did not do anything. I'm not a big programmer and not sure how to layer things like this. I will have to study the backend code and see how it can be incorporated into milonic so the same functions are possible that are being run in these vertical menus. I have already ...

re: problem with other menu on page being overlaid by miloni
Hi Ruth. The site is http://www.prtassoc.com and the page is the "tech ref" Log in with "prtassoc" and pw= "bpatterson" no quotes. On the left you will see the vertical menu and at the top and bottom are the milonic menus (header and footer include files). The bottom it...

problem with other menu on page being overlaid by milonic
I have a site that has a vertical menu on the left side with some slideout items. I have the milonic menu as a horiz menu along the bottom. When the vertical menu slides out and down and crosses the milonic horiz menu it goes behind the milonic menu and becomes non-functional. I would like it to go ...

bg problems
I had to change the graphics for the menus to png to get a better looking graphic. The client thought my other graphics where fuzzy. I will try what you did with the transparent gif. Here is my theory on the pagebgimage; If the image is larger in height and as you have seen I have a blue 2 pixel lin...

I used the ../../../menu/pagebg.gif in one of the menu items as the overimage and it worked fine. The pathing works. I also placed it in the overbgimage and it worked and worked at onbgimage. But not for pagebgimage

bgimage
I tried setting the path to fully qualified http://www.pertassoc.com/menu/pagebg.gif and it still did not show up. If you look at the pathing I have for the menu images they are at ../../../menu/tech_ref_b1.gif and they work. I had to go that far out in the path statement because the menus are at di...
