Maz, I'm not sure what you're saying, and I think I didn't say clearly what I meant, it's not about adding menu items, it's about putting a code that shows it as a new item that then expires at a certain date. Here's a code I found at Dynamic Drive Description: This is a very practical script that a...

Is it possible to get the menu to show a 'new' item?
I was wondering if there's a code where you can put in a 'new' with a date expiration on it for when a new item in put on a website? I mean to get that to function in the menu. Say I put up a new poem and want the 'poetry' link to show new next to it for 15 days or so. Thanks,
Ruth

Well, one thing you might try is putting all the samples in one zip file. I know that when I first came and knew nothing about the menu or how to use it, I downloaded one sample I liked, then I saw something in another sample, I would download that one too. Now, I copy the code at the bottom but for...

No, you don't need to do that. Go back to the link I gave. I've changed the menu_data.js file and I think that it is what you want. Take a look at the menu_data.js file....make SURE that the padding is set to 0 or it will not work, it extends the background image down and looks terrible. Anyway, I t...

Ok, this is the only solution I could figure out playing with the page. First Switch the Search with the Travel since search is the longest item you have get it way away from the applet. Second. You have a table of 1 column, 3 rows, the 3rd row has another table of 4 or 5 rows with 5 columns. The ap...

I think it's a great idea also. I wonder if in that dropdown look..which it has but it drops the full length of however many items you have...wonder if with that drop down look there's a way to get an auto scroll if you put your mouse on the last item. I HATE scroll bars, :x They look so yucky..gray...

DevildogMP, go to the page and do a view source, you will see that the <head></head> appears twice on it. Once at the top with the metatags in it and the javascript for the menu. Then there is a div code and right below that div code there is another <head></head> with the page title in it. Just mov...

Well, there is a menu property called overallwidth, however as nothing is listed next to it to explain it, I'm not sure that is a working function yet. It seems it is something that will be coming.

I am trying to do the menu in version 5, I even have a question about 5 in the 5 forum, can't get the <.span to work for text rollover and I'm having trouble with image rollover, I can't find the equivalent of the swapimage code. We need an icon for duh, so I can use it when you point out the simple...
