Memory leak on frames

Post by lagartron »

I have detected a memory leak with milonic menu on internet explorer using frames, i have tested ie 6 - 7 - 8 - 9 - 11, in ie > 7 happens.

It consumes about 100MB of memory per hour, without user interaction.

This can be easily reproduced on milonic example, https://milonic.com/frames/, just open the page and wait.

The borwser keeps executing $N() function, and eating memory.

¿any ideas how this could be fixed?

Hello,

Sorry, I hadn't seen this. Can you tell us the browser version and OS since you are seeing the memory usage for the browser process and I doubt Milonic can know anything without having that information. In the meantime, I will post this to Milonic since I have not the expertise with regard to anything with processes, or how programs interact :)

I have tested over and over but cannot recreate a memory leak on any of the Windows machines we have.

Not sure how we can proceed without witnessing it.
